A press release and the first script for a 1946 television series, "The Road Back", written by Ruth Foxx and sponsored by New York University, describing guidance services offered to returning servicemen, a pioneering use of educational television; and a report submitted by Foxx and Claire McMullen on the Television Institute held in New York City, October 15-16, 1945, the first such meeting in the history of television.

Radio station program director. Ruth Foxx Newborg, a 1940 graduate of the University of Louisville, served as program director of University of Kentucky sponsored radio station WBKY in Beattyville, Ky. from 1940 to 1941. The station was operated by U.K. in cooperation with the Lee County, Ky. board of education.
